You know the story is huge when one small word can describe it so that everyone understands what it refers to; in this case, that word is the MEMO.
Yes, the MEMO – the secret, magical MEMO that delivers shock and awe to whomsoever shall readeth of it, the “national security” MEMO that might just directly implicate certain top-level Democrats, led by then-President Barack Obama, for abusing the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA).
Never heard of FISA? This federal legislation was enacted in 1978 to establish “procedures for the physical and electronic surveillance and collection of ‘foreign intelligence information’ between ‘foreign powers’ and ‘agents of foreign powers’ suspected of espionage or terrorism. The Act created the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court (FISC) to oversee requests for surveillance WARRANTS by federal law enforcement and intelligence agencies.” [NOTE: Emphasis is added to the word “warrant” throughout this article.]
“The memo, which was written by Republican staffers in the House Intelligence Committee, claims that FBI agents underplayed the role of politically motivated and questionable sources to justify a surveillance WARRANT.” [emphasis added]
Interested observers suspect that the memo proves – or, at the very least, helps prove a cunning plan that may just fail:
1. The Clinton Foundation (CF) fixed the 2016 election to ensure Hillary Clinton’s win.
2. For odds-against “insurance,” in the remote case #1 failed, the CF hired a law firm which hired a publishing firm which hired a British ex-MI6 spy (Christopher Steele) to write a dossier that could show collusion between 2016 presidential candidate Trump and certain Russians (“the Enemy”). The ex-spy claims he never intended the dossier for publication and that it was fictional, per his orders. The publishing company passed it around about a year ago, at the time of Trump’s inauguration. Then it got leaked to the mainstream media (MSM).
Once “news” of the fictional dossier hit the MSM, as you may recall – it was only a year ago – the Democrats insisted on having a Congressional probe, with WARRANTS – there’s that word again – to look into the Trump-Russia collusion story…which was an invention of the Democrats in the first place.
3. The CF paid off top leadership in the FBI to overlook Hillary Clinton’s and the CF’s felonious activities. Then they got the FBI to begin to investigate the fictional story about Trump-Russia collusion they invented – all at taxpayer expense, mind you.
Trump began weeding out this sordid organization by unexpectedly firing James Comey on May 9, 2017.
Apparently, the FBI – and the Democrats – were not amused by the President’s forthright action.
According to the Washington Examiner, in the pre-dawn hours on July 26, 2017, “FBI agents raided the Alexandria home of President Trump’s former campaign chairman [Paul Manafort], using a search WARRANT to seize documents and other materials, according to people familiar with the special counsel investigation into Russian meddling in the 2016 election.” [emphasis added]
Within hours of the FBI raid on one of Trump’s inner circle members, the Commander-in-Chief tweeted this very good question regarding Comey’s successor:
“Why didn’t A.G. [Attorney General Jeff] Sessions replace Acting FBI Director Andrew McCabe, a Comey friend who was in charge of Clinton investigation…”
Also implicated is Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein, who allegedly “approved continued [FBI] surveillance of Trump aide Carter Page last spring, indicating the Justice Department suspected at the time Page could be acting as a Russian agent, according to a new report by the New York Times.”
Yes, you read correctly: the US Justice Department is also colluding – conspiring – with the CF and Hillary Clinton – at least.
4. The Democrats and FBI perpetuate their fairy tale smear campaign against Republican leadership by interviewing top Trump Cabinet members, including Attorney General Jeff Sessions.

Now, with the appearance of the MEMO, the situation has changed dramatically.
Last Thursday, January 25, 2017, committee Republicans voted to allow any House member to read a memo in a secure room prepared by Republican staff, led by Chairman Devin Nunes (R-CA). No originals or copies of the memo left that room since the contents are classified information – and thus the secrecy surrounding the MEMO.
After a few elected representatives read the MEMO, they realized how big a bombshell it is. House members issued press releases citing what they described as the memo’s “shocking” revelations – without disclosing any actual verbiage.
The (probably guilty of treason) control freaks over at the Justice Department panicked last week, proclaiming it would be “extraordinarily reckless” to release the memo to Us the People before an “official” review. Yeah, right. Gives them time to get out the black marker and redact away. Or simply say that the contents are “unfit” for us commoners and refuse to release it.
Here’s the punchline: as of this writing, the House Intelligence Committee could vote as soon as TONIGHT to publicly release the MEMO! From CNN, earlier today:
“House Speaker Paul Ryan is deferring to Nunes over whether to release the memo, an aide to the speaker said Monday. The speaker’s move all but ensures that the Justice Department won’t get much backing within the House Republican conference, and underscores the divide between House Republicans who are pushing for the memo’s release and many Senate Republicans, who are urging caution and siding with the Justice Department.”
If your head is swimming right about now, the Democrats have achieved their goal. Obscuring the truth with distraction is one of the key components to an effective propaganda campaign, after all.
By this time tomorrow, however, We the People may all be able to read whatever connivery is kept within the confines of…[cue Vincent Price]…the MEMO.
Isn’t this an exciting time to be alive?

UPDATE – Monday Evening, January 30, 2018:
Republican Representative Matt Gaetz, member of the Judiciary Committee said :
“When you read the memo, it’s going to be pretty clear why the Democrats, particularly, didn’t want it to come into the public light. I hope we can…evaluate the facts in their entirety and then craft reforms that would apply to both parties equally.”
This is itself a stunning revelation. But wait, there’s more. This afternoon (January 30, 2018), the House Intelligence Committee voted to declassify the MEMO. President Trump has five days to approve the decision.
Are you excited yet?
