FDA out of Control – Approves Killer Fake MJ and Bans Healing Pot

Evidence is building to support an increasingly popular belief that the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is out of control, approving harmful substances while passing over helpers.

The latest example of this regards marijuana. Ever since 1930, when Federal Bureau of Narcotics (FBN) Director Harry J. Anslinger declared war on and demonized “marijuana, the assassin of youth,” Americans have been the victims of a national propaganda campaign to suppress and criminalize the use of this pervasive, native weed.

Did you know that pot was a legal medicine until 1942? Although it is now included on the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) Schedule 1 Drugs list – right alongside heroin (which some would say truly is a demonic drug due to its potency, easy addiction, and excruciating weaning) – It was only in 1972 that “disgraced Attorney General John Mitchell of the Nixon administration placed marijuana in this category,” according to Scientific American.

The DEA says that all Schedule 1 drugs have “no currently accepted medical use and a high potential for abuse.” The DEA refuses to re-evaluate cannabis for medical its value, most recently in August 2016, saying that “the drug’s therapeutic value has not been proved scientifically.”

Forbes reported in March 2018 that the World Health Organization (WHO) disagreed in March 2018, ruling that there are “no adverse health outcomes but rather several medical applications for cannabidiol, a.k.a. CBD, despite U.S. federal policy on this cannabinoid chemical.”

It is important to understand that CBD does not have any mind-altering properties – it is a natural and non-psychoactive chemical. Uninformed moralists who believe the Anslinger smear campaign against MJ object to the THC content of pot, which is responsible for “getting high.”

Goodness knows we don’t want a bunch of happy, hungry hippies running around, not bothering anybody. That simply is not good business – except for snack food makers perhaps.

The DEA did approve a synthetic form of THC as a Schedule II controlled substance in November 2017. This paved the way for commercial production of dronabinol (Syndros) to treat “nausea and vomiting in chemotherapy patients

This federal largesse benefits the drug maker, of course. This from Herb magazine:

“The restrictions give Insys the freedom to set the price point for its own legal brand of THC, which can range $1,000 to $2,000 for a month’s supply.”

Since many humans like getting high without breaking any laws, they resort to acquiring synthetic substitutes for the actual marijuana plant. Known as K2 or Spice, these chemicals are different from those found in MJ – and may be deadly. With more than 150 products available – all of which are unregulated – reports like this one from the Huffington Post are showing that users of synthetic pot are experiencing “convulsions, kidney injury, toxicity to the heart, strokes and anxiety” and had been linked to 20 deaths as of February 2017.

The New York Times reported in April 2018 that synthetic MJ tainted by a rat poison that causes severe bleeding called brodifacoum “sickened 107 people in Illinois, Wisconsin and Indiana; three of them have died.”

US Attorney General Jeff Sessions and the US Department of Justice (DOJ) added to this miserable situation in January this year (2018) by announcing the “a return to the rule of law,” directing all US attorneys to persecute pot users by prosecuting them.

Are we having a flashback to the days of Richard “I am not a crook” Nixon? What on earth is going on in the mind of Mr. Sessions and DOJ leadership?

To find the answer, perhaps we need to follow the money a bit further. It turns out that AG Sessions “has hypocritically granted a monopoly on the sale of THC to big pharma company Insys Therapeutics whose drug fentanyl is responsible for killing tens of thousands every year.” Top executives at Insys Michael Baich (former CEO) and John Kapoor (founder) were “caught bribing doctors to prescribe opioid drugs that have led to one of the largest addiction problems in the history of the world.”

So there you have it. Taxpayers are funding Big Government which is backing Big Pharma to control all the profits generated by domestic MJ production while keeping genuinely helpful and healing marijuana from us – the taxpayers. Understood is that the usual bribes and payoffs are changing hands (theirs, not ours).

If you are fed up with this flagrant hypocrisy, contact your elected representatives and remind them that the midterm elections are coming up. The squeaky wheel gets the grease – so sound off, fair-minded and freedom-loving Americans!

What I read of the article was great….BUT the repeated video of the smoker was horribly distracting and I stopped reading the article….that video should be eliminated!!!! I

I usually enjoy reading Daily Conspiracy. However, on the subject of marijuana, there are several things about which you may need more information.
1). The marijuana being produced and sold today is 10 times more powerful than the marijuana of the 1960’s. THC is addictive and is not medical marijuana. Medical Marijuana is CBD which in its purified form has no THC in it.
2). CBD has been scientifically shown to work.
3). A large longitudinal study conducted in New Zealand found frequent and persistent marijuana use starting in adolescence was associated with a loss of an average of 8 IQ points when measured in mid-adulthood.
    4) Acute (present during intoxication) include: Impaired short-term memory, Impaired attention, judgment, and other cognitive functions, Impaired coordination and balance, Increased heart rate, Anxiety, paranoia, Psychosis (uncommon).
    5) Today’s drug can remain in the body for as long as three weeks where individuals will test positive on drug testing.
    6) There is scientific evidence that it is harmful, if you look at the literature.

I think that it’s a crime that you are holding up the research on marijuana! There are a lot of people like me that are going to have surgery and can not take the pain pills because they make me sick. And you are holding all the cards on finding something out that could help me a lot all so you can make money on the bad drugs. Shame on you, I will remember this when it’s time to vote.

I have a record because I helped someone with cancer 15 years ago and unless you see the positive effects it has on pain, nausea, and hunger….you won’t believe it. Opioids kill you. CBD oil does not. It’s all about the money, duh !

    My oh my
The big reason they will not legalize this natural medicine is BIG INDUSTRY
Standing in the way is greed. Hemp can replace just about anything and keep the air we breathe cleaner
It actually can help save our Planet….
Most people only think it’s just smoke. Research hemp. Research it’s health benefits. Pharmaceutical will lobby against it becoming legal. Bad rap for so many decades. I think the legalization of marijuana should be put to the people.

You need to get your head out of your ass and look around. Marijuana is bad for anybody. When I worked in a psyche hospital most of the patients there was there due to marijuana. Their brains get fried and they don’t know what they are doing. The patients that were on cocaine. heroine and other drugs started on marijuana. I think the laws should make it a crime for anybody to take marijuana. They should not just make marijuana a crime but they should make alcohol a crime. Many traffic accidents are cause by people taking marijuana or drinking alcohol. Just because the court judges have a bar in their judges chambers doesn’t mean it’s OK to get drunk and drive, but, the police officers most always look the other way when a high official drives under the influence and other judges they appear under wash it under the rug. When they get into an accident and cause injuries that is what gets in the newspapers. Colorado and other states that marijuana legal are finding more and more accidents on the street from those using pot.

Where is the FDA? The surgeon General ? Plenty of medical literature noting problems with MJ, especially in the developing brain, which is developing until the age of 25. Legalization was pushed through without answering basic safety questions. It’s all about the money, and the government wants it. There was lots of evidence based medical articles saying you could not become addicted to opiods if you took them while in pain. So they were prescribed for chronic benign pain, aka, any chronic pain, and now tens of thousands are dead. I’ll wait for some good medical data.

Been telling people for years, Big Pharma has run the medical system of the U.S.A. for decades. Touting control drugs and suppressing cure drugs so they can continue ripping the American consumer off with arbitrarily set, sky high, prices. I have a friend who has been prescribed a certain drug for a serious medical condition, and has to take three other drugs to counter the side effects of the primary drug! Big Pharma knows this and continues to push this dangerous chemical, without any changes to the formula, to perpetuate their profit margin from the additional counter drugs! Legal highway robbery, sanctioned by the FDA and bought lawmakers!

We the people need to realize that we are in contro,l if the government can just tell us what is good for us ,and what is not, weve given up our liberty. P.s. I think we all know, it’s not about our welfare they’re concerned with.

Many other countries are researching pot, specifically mostly CBD, and its effects on things like cancer….way too many to remember off the top of my head. It starts to cure cancer, some cancers It is good for some many things. People take the US Gov’t’s skewed studies, and believe their assurance pot is good for nothing. What about the bulk of the research showing positive results, that the government shoves aside because they want pot to remain the enemy. And too many buy into that crap.
