Desperate Dems Trample US Constitution

The Democrats are desperate to win this year’s mid-term elections – so desperate that one federal judge ruled on Monday, June 18, 2018, to strike down a Kansas law requiring documents that prove U.S. citizenship to register to vote. U.S. District Judge Julie Robinson in Kansas City found that such laws violate the constitutional right to vote.

Say whaaaat?!?

No longer will new voters be required to produce a birth certificate, U.S. passport or naturalization papers. Consolidating two voter registration law cases with this single ruling, the lead case required the prosecution “to prove that Kansas has a significant problem with noncitizens registering to vote” before the state could continue their law which requires proof of citizenship if voters register when applying for a driver’s license.

Now, why would anyone have to prove that there is a current problem in order to impose a solution? Why not prevent the problem by requiring proof of citizenship for anyone who wants to enjoy the national right (not privilege) to steer the direction of the country at the polls.

The less-publicized second case did not limit its challenge to voters registering when they apply for a drivers license. It applies to all Kansas voters. Judge Robinson gave the legal opinion that “the Kansas law violated the equal protection clause of the 14th Amendment because the state’s interest in preventing noncitizen voter registration did not outweigh the burden the proof of citizenship law placed on voters.”

Just to refresh your memory, Section 1 of the 14th Amendment to the United States Constitution reads like this:

“All persons born or naturalized in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and all of the State wherein they reside. No State shall make or enforce any law which shall abridge the privileges or immunities of citizens of the United States; nor shall any State deprive any person of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law, nor deny to any person within its jurisdiction the equal protection of the laws.”

Julie A. Robinson graduated from the University of Kansas in 1978 and then earned her law degree there in 1981. In 2001, President George W. Bush made her the first African American woman to sit on the U.S. District Court for Kansas.

Secretary of State Kris Kobach (a Republican) served as lead counsel for the state and bungled the job. Propublica stated:

“After a seven-day trial in Kansas City federal court in March, in which Kansas Secretary of State Kris Kobach needed to be tutored on basic trial procedure by the judge and was found in contempt for his ‘willful failure’ to obey a ruling, even he knew his chances were slim.”

One has to wonder why Kobach was tapped for this job. His amateur performance was a major setback for national voter fraud prevention.

One also has to wonder how long Judge Robinson will remain on the bench after making an unconstitutional decision as monumental as this one. USA.gov says quite plainly:

Citizenship is determined by a birth certificate, passport, or nationalization papers. Is this difficult to understand? Why are we even spending taxpayer money in a courtroom to discuss this Constitutional fundamental?

The Democrats are understandably upset about President Trump’s high approval rating – 45 percent for the week June 11-17, 2018, according to the latest Gallup poll. He had the same approval rating after his inauguration, during the week of January 20-29, 2017.

Investors Business Daily (IBD) points out another fact that worries the Democrats:

“Trump’s approval in this poll is now equal to Obama’s at the same point in Obama’s presidency.”

IBD notes, too, that Trump’s approval rating has been rising steadily this year while his predecessor Barack Obama’s approval rating was declining after a year and a half in office.

Trump’s approval rating would be much higher if the Socialist Democrats could get behind his initiatives to drain the swamp and re-organize the business of the United States. But, of course, the swamp is full of Democrats, which is why they drag down Trump’s approval rating.

The Democratic method is now clear. As covered previously by this writer in “Open Immigration Serves the Democrats,” the liberal left has recruited new voters by showering them with all kinds of federal freebies and perks that the rest of us tax-paying citizens pay for.

Now that the Republicans are succeeding in restructuring how the nation does business, the Democrats are frothing at the mouth. Their hateful rhetoric is downright embarrassing at times, and their ignorance is showing, too.


Judge Robinson was certainly ignorant of the U.S. Constitution by permitting people to register to vote without documented proof that they are, in fact, legal citizens. Using this fallacious reasoning, why not invite the whole world to vote in the next U.S. election?

So let’s hope the Trump administration finds a better lawyer than Kris Kobach at the upcoming appeals trial. He will be busy attending the six-hour, continuing education course on federal or Kansas civil rules of procedure or evidence imposed on him by the disdainful Democratic federal judge.

Perhaps, too, we can expect a Kansas House of Representatives impeachment hearing to examine whether District Judge Robinson has committed “high crimes” or “gross immorality” sufficient to remove her from office?

Although rare, eight federal judges have been impeached and convicted. Among them was Federal Judge G. Thomas Porteous of Louisiana who was found guilty on four articles of impeachment because he “participated in a pattern of corrupt conduct for years” which included accepting kickbacks and lying to the U.S. Senate and Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI).

Even if misinterpreting the U.S. Constitution in order to bolster one’s flagging political party is not a high crime, one has to wonder what is going on in this country?

    The second part of the quote from the 14th Amendment is what everyone seems to miss: “and subject to the jurisdiction thereof . . .” That part is just as binding as the first part.

    The Mexican government AND many Mexicans living in the US do NOT consider themselves “subject to the jurisdiction” of the US. They have NO loyalty to the US. They consider themselves Mexican first, last and forever. The Mexican government considers them to still be Mexican citizens and they do too.

    They are NOT citizens and they are NOT entitled to vote.

      This begs three questions about illegals:
      1. If the country you flee is not a s-hole, then why did you need to come here? Why not just return there, since you still support it, sing its praises, and celebrate its holidays?
      2. If they are truly sending us their best and brightest, then why don’t they stay in their own country and help them get better? Or is it possible that their country no longer needs seven million Janitors, five million roofers, and 10 million lawn care professionals?
      3. Assume for a second the country they are escaping perhaps has some aspects of s-hole-ness about it. But is still such a great country that they worship it once they are here, they want to make this more like their own country. Then, why do they not go back there, and use the fantastic protest skill they seem to possess and make their own country better through public outcry and democratic change? Go there with protest signs in the native language and cry “What do we want – CHANGE! When do we want it- NOW!”.
      My point is that their countries cannot both be s-holes they need to escape from and yet wonderful places to be emulated.
      And as a side note, we are seeing the same problem here in Texas with the importation of unwanteds from California as they flee the socialist state they have created there. They come here, and bring their voting habits with them. Jeez- stay there and make it better.

    Only US citizens should be allowed to vote, non citizens in other countries can not vote in elections.

    I agree 100%. If you are not a U.S. citizen you don’t have the right to vote. Read the 14th amendment. What will it take to make politicians follow the constitution? The democrats have ignored or circumvented the Constitution for years. If the constitution is not followed and upheld where do the American people who support the Constitution “the law of the land” stand? Are U.S. citizens who support the Constitution and the presidents agenda going to be targeted next?

    Amen!!! What don’t people understand about citizenship in this country enabling them to rightfully cast a vote. What an immoral society this is and shameful that we as a human race are so stupid. Why would anyone think they can change or do anything they want in a country they weren’t even born in and have no integrity to want to become a citizen and rightfully cast an informed vote on an intellectual level for what should be good and right for everyone? A moral society can and should never allow this to become a reality now or ever if we want our nation to survive and thrive. There are solutions, I have a few in mind.😃

    The “and subject to it’s jurisdiction” part is also what makes the illegal aliens giving birth in the U.S. and the baby becoming an American citizen a gross misinterpretation of the 14th amendment.

    Totally disgusting how liberal Dems are destroying our country, I hope someone sues the state for this miscarriage of justice. We should not have non-citizens voting in our country. Judicial Watch needs to get their hands on this onel

    How about starting with the Golden Rule we learned in kindergarten when our parents told us name calling is rude. Lying is wrong, pushing others is wrong. Adultry is wrong. Dignity, kindness and basic manners is very important. If Trump can’t master the basics how will even comprehend the constitution.

    You really believe that poll about Trump’s approval rating? I highly doubt it’s accurate. Who took that poll? I’m sure it was rigged. Most people I know don’t just dislike Trump, they hate him with a passion. Never in our nation’s history has a President been so hated.

      That is most likely due to the fact that you yourself dislike President Trump. I’ve noticed that on all of these discussion boards, people who say “O don’t know anyone who likes Trump” have friends who share their own view politically, just as most of those who say “I don’t know anyone who likes/believes Meuller” are the same people who eschew liberals in their social circles. Most of my friends here in Colorado could never get alomg with my California friends for just this reason.
