When President Trump jokingly referenced the media during his rose-garden press conference as being an extension of the Democratic Party, most within the 4th Estate took issue.
However, the proof of their unbridled bias was evident as one reporter after another attempted to shift the focus of the news conference away from the president’s impressive economic trade policies to the continuing drama of the Kavanaugh confirmation.
Perhaps the most egregious came from NBC, with 3 different inaccurate stories coming out in less than 2-weeks — beating even CNN and the New York Times for their prejudice and sloppy reporting.
The first inaccurate story was a misleading article from NBC, claiming that the Supreme Court nominee purposely lied to the public when he first heard the allegations against him from Deborah Ramirez.
Here are the facts that NBC either forget to report or willfully omitted to mislead their viewers, take your pick:
The inaccurate article was published on Monday alleging that Kavanaugh hadn’t heard of the allegation by former Yale classmate Deborah Ramirez against him before a Sept. 23rd article in the New Yorker.
The allegation by Ramirez states that Kavanaugh was drunk and exposed himself at a party, then without missing a beat Ramirez adds she wasn’t sure is Kavanaugh was the alleged flasher.
NBC cited text messages by Kavanaugh’s team preparing to respond to the unproven allegation before the New Yorker published its article. NBC presented the texts as evidence that Kavanaugh misled the public during his testimony.
However, NBC conveniently failed to report Kavanaugh’s sworn testimony in which he stated on September 25th he had heard Ramirez was “calling around to classmates” to ask if they remembered the details of her allegation.
Kavanaugh testified to the Senate Judiciary Committee regarding Ramirez’s allegations, “They couldn’t, the New York Times couldn’t corroborate this story and found that she was calling around to classmates trying to see if they remembered it. And I, at least, and I, myself, heard about that, that she was doing that.”
In another bogus story, NBC ran an expose by an anonymous, uncorroborated source alleging that Judge Kavanaugh pushed his girlfriend up against a wall in 1998.
In this incident NBC produced a letter, which had no actual evidence, no witnesses and no specifics; however, NBC treated the letter as legitimate news stating; “Senate probing new allegation of misconduct against Kavanaugh.”
However on the same day, NBC ran the bogus article, Kavanaugh’s ex-girlfriend sent a signed letter to the judiciary committee, debunking the NBC article.
Moreover Kavanaugh’s ex-girlfriend, Judge Dabney Friedrich, personally addressed the allegation, “To the extent, the attached letter is referring to me as the ‘friend, who was dating him,’ the allegations it makes are both offensive and absurd,”
Judge Friedrich continued, “At no time did Brett ever shove me against a wall, including in an ‘aggressive and sexual’ manner. When we dated, Brett always treated me with the utmost respect and we remain friends to this day.”
Adding, “I have never observed (nor am I aware of) Brett acting in a physically inappropriate or aggressive manner toward anyone.”
NBC, of course, has yet to issue a retraction regarding the Friedrich issue and was previously criticized for publishing another bogus story on September 19th regarding a post on social media from a woman who claimed she heard rumors about an alleged incident between Kavanaugh and Christine Blasey Ford when both were in high school.
What we’ve witnessed within the last several weeks, are the mainstream media sinking even further and further into the depths of uncontrolled bias, recklessly grasping at allegations, innuendo and rumors, and willfully attempting to disguise these as legitimate news stories in order to fulfill their agenda in destroying Kavanaugh…conversely they’re also destroying whatever shred of journalistic integrity they had left.
