Will this tragic incident finally be the “flashpoint” when average citizens in California, and around the nation, demand that lawmakers enforce our immigration laws?
This willful and senseless murder of California Police Officer Ronil Singh, a day after celebrating Christmas with his wife and 5-month old son, is a tragedy that should have never happened.
Wednesday night just before 1 a.m., Police Officer Singh made a routine traffic stop where he confronted the suspect and was shot… for no apparent reason.
Mortally wounded the 33-year old police officer was able to report over his radio “shots fired.”
The department said the shooter fled when backup officers arrived to assist Singh, who was then rushed to a hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries and died.
The tragic irony is that Police Officer Singh is a legal immigrant born in Fiji.
Newman Police Chief Randy Richardson said. “This is not a big department. This is a department of 12. This is a man that I saw every day he worked. This is a man I relieved on Christmas day so he could go home and spend time with his family and newborn child.”
Adding, “He was truly just a human being and an American patriot. Ron was not born in America. Ron was born in Fiji. He came to this country with one purpose and that was to serve this country.”
According to the San Francisco Chronicle, the suspect was captured on a surveillance camera inside the Newman Food Store where he purchased two 12-packs of beer moments before he confronted Police Officer Singh.
The surveillance footage also captured the gray Dodge Ram pickup truck fleeing the scene after Cpl. Singh was fatally gunned down. Investigators then received a tip regarding the suspect, leading them to a mobile home park just outside the city.
The Stanislaus County Sheriff’s Department then executed a search warrant at what is believed to be the suspect’s home. One resident of the mobile home park told local media and police officers he recognized the suspect as his neighbor.
Both police departments have issued an “all-points-bulletin” on the suspect, Stanislaus County Sheriff Adam Christianson said during a news conference on Thursday afternoon that the suspect “is considered armed and dangerous,” and vowing that the manhunt would “relentlessly continue,” until the suspect is brought to justice.
“This suspect … is in our country illegally. He doesn’t belong here. He is a criminal. We will find him, we will arrest him, we will bring him to justice,” Christianson said.
Christianson’s words speak volumes to the tragic loss of lives, and the epidemic of marauding illegal criminal aliens protected by progressive politicians, in so-called “sanctuary cities” which now numbers close to 500.
However the most despicable act came just a few days before the brutal murder of Police Officer Ronil Singh, when Gov. Jerry Brown in a willful act of defiance against the Trump Administration and our immigration laws, decided to use the Christmas Season to illegally pardon criminal illegal aliens on the verge of being deported by ICE agents.
Brown is obviously “aiding and abetting” in illegal acts, whether helping criminal aliens or willfully violating federal immigration laws under U.S. Code 1324, which states; “ Any person who knows that a person is an alien, brings to or attempts to bring to the United States in any manner whatsoever such person at a place other than a designated port of entry or place other than as designated by the Commissioner, regardless of whether such alien has received prior official authorization to come to, enter, or reside in the United States and regardless of any future official action which may be taken with respect to such alien.
The penalties for such violations can range from a monetary fine to a maximum of 10-years in prison, or both.
