Several weeks ago I took a chance and went out on a limb regarding the alleged attack concerning “Empire” star Jussie Smollett.
At the time, the offense seemed more than plausible. A well-known gay black public figure was walking home alone in the wee frigid hours on a deserted Chicago street and was faced by what appeared to be a racist and perhaps homophobic attack by two white thugs.
However, after reading the police report and the testimony by both Smollett and his manager, I concluded that there was a 50/50 probability that this might be a hoax.
It began when disturbing details started to emerge. The first was the description of the attackers by Smollett, who first described his attackers as white; however, he rescinded that description as two individuals wearing ski-masks, race unknown.
Still, the attack was undoubtedly plausible given the clear dialog allegedly overheard by Smollett’s manager oh his cell-phone of the attack in progress. His manager told police he heard the scuffle and the racial and homophobic slurs from Smollett’s two attackers yelling “Aren’t you that f***ot ‘Empire’ n*****?” then they began punching the “Empire” star. After the quick beat-down Smollett’s manager then emphasizes to the Chicago Police just as Smollett’s assailants flee they shout “This is MAGA country.”
Moreover, when police arrived at the scene, they found Smollett still wearing the white noose that one of the alleged assailants wrapped around his neck and some abrasive substance poured on the 35-year old actor.
Things began to change further, when police started looking at dozens of video surveillance footage of the alleged location of the attack which took place around 2 a.m. on January 29th and found nothing on the video’s that would suggest an assault took place. The only visuals recorded in that late hour were of two individuals casually walking along.
However perhaps the most damaging piece of evidence of what took place on that frigid night was the refusal by Smollet and his manager to hand over the only part of corroborating evidence of the attack, the two cell-phones, allegedly used by the duo speaking to one another, as the attack suddenly took place.
After weeks of investigation with no leads, no eyewitnesses, and little cooperation from Smollet, the Chicago Police are growing increasingly skeptical of Smollet’s claim of being attacked, which was deemed a “hate crime.”
Moreover, investigators are now considering filing charges against the Fox entertainer, for knowingly filing a false report.
“In short, there is near unanimity among police sources that Smollett’s story is very likely not true,” a police source reported. And that even the media outlets still regurgitating the current “party line” don’t really believe it.”
To make matters even more confusing, Smollet has changed his story several times, adding new details, while attempting to eliminate others.
The mainstream media is still on the “hate crime” narrative, along with the MAGA hat talking-point, refusing to follow up on what investigators are now saying.
However, the backlash on social media is making it more difficult for the mainstream leftist media to continue blacking out the story.
“Smollett’s story keeps changing. The manager later told police he overheard the assault.” Jussie Smollett’s manager allegedly claimed he overheard the attack? This case keeps getting stranger.”

Michelle Malkin also weighed in on social media, “Another bizarro detail overnight via @RobElgasABC7 – condo surveillance video shows Smollett walking past security to the elevator. Without telling them he had just been attacked by thugs who “beat the hell out of him” and “broke his ribs” acc. to @TMZ 🤔

And still another took to Twitter, “Jussie refused to turn his phone over.”
#JussieSmollett and his manager say they were on the phone during the alleged attack. #ChicagoPolice says Smollett refused to turn over his cell phone to confirm that.”
