By now you’ve probably had your fill of the publicity-seeking darling Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez aka AOC.
However, this piece isn’t exactly about the melodramatic lawmaker. It’s more about exposing up her malicious campaign targeting the hard working and emotionally drained folks tasked with protecting the nation’s abused sovereignty.
Remarkably after less than a year in politics, the charismatic Bronx barmaid went from serving drinks to becoming one of the most influential legislators within the Democratic Party — based on nothing but arrogance and tenacity combined with a freighting progressive dogma of misinformation and deception.
However last week, current and former immigration officials finally pushed back on AOC’s deceptive claims of what took place at the El Paso border station. They forcefully rejected her false claim that Border Agents forced detainees to “drink out of the toilets.”
The incident started when almost a dozen members of the Congressional Hispanic Caucus traveled to the “Lone-Star” state on a fact-finding tour. It quickly turned into a wild shouting match between AOC and stunned Border Agents who attempted to calm down the crazed and fiery Latino lawmaker. AOC reportedly called border officials “violent” and “inhumane” then suddenly accusing them of purposely forcing a migrant woman and her children to drink water from a toilet.
The mainstream media – without bothering to confirm the accuracy of the claim by AOC – simply ran with the story, thus solidifying another myth complements of the 29-year old progressive ideologue.
Propaganda especially when orchestrated by a willing media on behalf of someone like AOC, is difficult to counter, once it’s out in the public however former U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) director Tom Homan is attempting to set the record straight by appearing Tuesday on Fox News’ “America’s Newsroom” and challenging AOC’s accusations stating, “It’s just ridiculous on its face.”
He then added that the freshman lawmaker was “clearly, intentionally misinforming the American public.”
Homan then detailed how the holding cells are designed, suggesting that AOC either through ignorance or sheer malice may have been referring to the “apparatus” that attached to the sink and toilet, explaining that although the entire unit appears as one, each as a separate water line
Adding, “You’re drinking out of the same apparatus, the same piece of equipment, but there are two separate water lines, one going to the commode, one going to the sink.”
Homan continued explaining the reason why the equipment was purposely designed that way, “They are designed that way to try to save space and make it more comfortable for the people who are in those facilities.”
Moreover, while the mainstream media blissfully ignored Homan’s account, social media was busy posting images of how the actual sink/toilet “apparatus” look. The single unit has a brushed steel sink (with faucets), along with an attached toilet.
However once the actual “apparatus” was displayed, AOC claims that the station had only one of them and that the sink portion wasn’t working at the time.
Homan did acknowledge that the facilities “are jails” and “were not built for women and children,” saying that’s why agents have been “begging” Congress for more funding for beds “so these families can be moved into a proper facility with proper care.”
This once again brings us back to House Democrats and in particular AOC first ignoring the President’s plea’s for additional emergency funding, and then actually voting against the $4.6 billion for humanitarian care.
